Our Story

Chapter 01 — Where It All Began

Alma Accesorios didn't start with a business plan. It started with two pairs of hands and a quiet afternoon.

My wife and my sister began weaving Miyuki bracelets simply to unwind — to do something creative, to find peace in the rhythm of threading tiny beads together. They weren't trying to build a brand. They were just creating. But the pieces were beautiful, and people noticed. Friends wanted one. Then strangers. Then something clicked.

Why not share this with the world?

We started an Instagram. Then came Shopify. And what began as a way to de-stress slowly became something much bigger — a family business rooted in love, craft, and heritage. Today, we bring our pieces to local fairs here in Miami, so you can meet us, feel the craft, and be part of our story.

Chapter 02 — Woven with Love: My Parents’ Story
Across the miles, in Colombia, my parents were doing something very similar — weaving bracelets by hand, keeping their minds busy, staying creative, finding joy in the craft. What they made out of love, we recognized as something special.
So we brought it here. Every woven bracelet in our store travels from their hands in Colombia straight to you — made with patience, care, and the kind of dedication that only a parent knows.

Chapter 03 — A Tradition Since 1945
But there’s a third thread woven into Alma’s story — one that goes back generations.
My grandfather, Hernán Murillo, learned the art of leatherwork in his hometown of Jericó, Colombia, under the guidance of a master craftsman named Don Darío Agudelo. A true Jericuano craft, born from the hands and soul of that land.
Over the years, the family made their home in Santa Rosa de Cabal — but the tradition never left Jericó. His eldest son carries it forward to this day, crafting every Carriel with the same techniques, the same pride, and the same soul passed down since 1945.
These are Carrieles Jericuanos — not just in name, but in blood, in origin, and in every stitch.

Three stories. Three crafts. One family. One brand.
In Miami, my wife and sister weave Miyuki bracelets — each one made by hand with precision and love.
In Colombia, my parents craft woven bracelets to stay creative and connected — and we bring every piece here for you.
From the mountains of Santa Rosa de Cabal, my family crafts every single Carriel by hand — carrying proudly the tradition born in Jericó since 1945. A Jericuano craft, kept alive in every stitch.
“When you wear Alma, you carry a piece of all of us.”
